Dr. Matthew Mumber Appointed to ASCO Editorial Board

Harbin Clinic Radiation Oncologist Matthew P. Mumber, M.D. has been appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Oncology Practice published by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is the world’s leading professional organization representing physicians who care for people with cancer. With more than 28,000 members, ASCO is committed to improving cancer care through scientific meetings, educational programs and peer-reviewed journals. ASCO publishes the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of Oncology Practice and several other research-focused publications. As an editorial board member, Dr. Mumber will review clinical research articles to determine if they merit publication and distribution to the cancer treatment community. Dr. Mumber is a member of the Harbin Clinic Cancer Center Radiation Oncology Department. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology – Radiation Oncology and a 2002 fellowship graduate of the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. He published the textbook “Integrative Oncology: Principles and Practice” in 2006. Dr. Mumber was the 2008 recipient of the Georgia Cancer Coalition Hamilton Jordan Founders Award and is the immediate Past President of the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology.
