2-Day Orientation to Cancer Clinical Trial Offers Training and Continuing Education to Research Personnel Across the State

The Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education (Georgia CORE) and Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology (GASCO) co-sponsored a 2-day Orientation to Cancer Clinical Trials Training Program in Macon, GA May 14th and 15th. Twenty clinical research personnel from Thomasville, Macon, Atlanta, Savannah, Rome, Warner Robins, Dublin and Columbus benefited from this training geared towards novice personnel working in the cancer clinical trials enterprise.
Faculty included Jane Clark, PhD, RN, AOCN, APRN-BC, Georgia CORE Consultant and Karen Packard, RN, MSN, AOCN Program Coordinator, ARCCOP Manager, Oncology Research. A total of 13.75 contact hours were offered for the following training topics:
