Patricia Owen is the Director of Oncology Services at NSH, a comprehensive community hospital cancer program with over 3,400 analytic cancer cases diagnosed and/or treated annually. Ms. Owen provides administrative and strategic oversight for radiation oncology, three inpatient oncology units, a blood and marrow transplant program, a breast care program, oncology outpatient infusion services, oncology research, tumor registry, a hereditary cancer program, and oncology community outreach.

Ms. Owen has over 25 years’ experience as an oncology clinician, educator, and administrator in academic and community hospital settings. She is active in numerous state and national oncology organizations and is published in the field of nursing management. Ms. Owen leads the oncology quality improvement program at NSH and ensures compliance with accreditation agencies such as ACOS, FACT and TJC. In addition, she assists in the development of internal and external physician relationships, and serves as a key spokesperson and community liaison on issues related to oncology.

Georgia CORE is a statewide nonprofit that leverages partnerships and innovation to attract more clinical trials, increase research, and promote education and early detection to improve cancer care for Georgians in rural, urban, and suburban communities across the state.
